About the treatment

About dermal fillers.

Dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the skin. Injected in carefully chosen areas, they restore volume, lift and support the face, and define features such as the cheeks, chin and jawline.

At Simply Aesthetics Cheshire, Teresa uses premium fillers from brands such as Restylane and Teoxane, and plans every treatment around your facial proportions for a balanced, natural result.

Dermal fillers in Lymm

More about dermal fillers.

Dermal fillers are a versatile, non-surgical way to restore volume and enhance the natural structure of the face. Used thoughtfully, they can lift the cheeks, define the jawline and bring the features back into balance.

At Simply Aesthetics Cheshire, Teresa combines a detailed facial assessment with premium hyaluronic acid fillers for results that look refreshed and natural.

How dermal fillers work

Hyaluronic acid attracts and holds water, giving instant volume and support where it’s placed. Different fillers have different textures: firmer products give structure to the cheeks, chin and jaw, while softer ones are used for finer areas.

Cheek, chin and jawline filler

Cheek filler restores mid-face volume that’s often lost with age, which can also soften the look of the lower face. Chin and jawline filler improves definition and profile balance, and is popular with both women and men.

Filler dissolving

If you’re unhappy with previous filler, or it has migrated, hyaluronidase can dissolve hyaluronic acid filler. Teresa will assess you first to make sure dissolving is the right option.

Your consultation

Every treatment starts with a consultation with Teresa, a Registered Nurse Prescriber. She’ll assess your facial proportions, talk through your goals and medical history, and explain what can realistically be achieved and what it will cost.

Aftercare

For beautiful results, please follow the aftercare advice below.

First 24 hours

  • Do not touch, rub or massage the treated areas unnecessarily.
  • Avoid make-up over the injection sites for 12–24 hours where possible.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Gentle everyday activity is fine.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours, as this may increase the likelihood of bruising.
  • Avoid excessive heat, including saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, very hot showers and sunbathing, for 24–48 hours.
  • Avoid sunbeds/tanning following treatment. Published aftercare guidance specifically advises avoiding tanning and heat exposure during the immediate post-treatment period.
  • Avoid applying significant pressure to the treated area, including tight headwear where relevant.
  • Treat your skin gently when cleansing and avoid aggressive rubbing.

What to expect

Small areas of redness, mild swelling, tenderness or pinpoint bruising can occur following treatment and are usually temporary.

Results develop gradually rather than immediately. One UK aftercare guide advises that effects commonly begin within 3–5 days, with the fuller effect developing at around 10–14 days.

Your review

If a review has been arranged, this is commonly undertaken at around two weeks, when the treatment result can be appropriately assessed.

If you experience anything unexpected or have concerns following treatment, please contact the clinic for advice.
