About the treatment

About polynucleotides.

Polynucleotides are highly purified DNA fragments that support the skin’s natural repair and regeneration. Rather than adding volume, they work to improve the quality of the skin itself: its hydration, elasticity and texture.

At Simply Aesthetics Cheshire, Teresa uses Plinest polynucleotides, including Plinest Eye for the delicate under-eye area, with treatment planned as a course for the best results.

Polynucleotides in Lymm

More about polynucleotides.

Polynucleotides have become one of the most talked-about regenerative treatments in aesthetics, particularly for the delicate skin under the eyes. They improve the quality of the skin itself, helping it look fresher, firmer and more hydrated.

At Simply Aesthetics Cheshire, Teresa uses Plinest polynucleotides, supplied in the UK by DermaFocus.

How polynucleotides work

Polynucleotides provide the building blocks the skin uses for repair. Injected into the skin, they help stimulate fibroblasts, the cells that produce collagen and elastin, and improve hydration.

Polynucleotides for the eyes

Plinest Eye is designed for the delicate under-eye area, where skin is thin and often one of the first places to show tiredness. Treatment can help with dark circles, fine lines and crepey texture.

Face and neck

Polynucleotides can also improve skin quality across the face and neck, and work well alongside skin boosters and RF microneedling as part of a skin health plan.

Your consultation

Every treatment begins with a consultation with Teresa, a Registered Nurse Prescriber. She’ll assess your skin, talk through your goals and plan your course of treatment.

Aftercare

For beautiful results, please follow the aftercare advice below.

First 24 hours

  • Do not touch, rub or massage the treated areas unnecessarily.
  • Avoid make-up over the injection sites for 12–24 hours where possible.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours. Gentle everyday activity is fine.
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours, as this may increase the likelihood of bruising.
  • Avoid excessive heat, including saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, very hot showers and sunbathing, for 24–48 hours.
  • Avoid sunbeds/tanning following treatment. Published aftercare guidance specifically advises avoiding tanning and heat exposure during the immediate post-treatment period.
  • Avoid applying significant pressure to the treated area, including tight headwear where relevant.
  • Treat your skin gently when cleansing and avoid aggressive rubbing.

What to expect

Small areas of redness, mild swelling, tenderness or pinpoint bruising can occur following treatment and are usually temporary.

Results develop gradually rather than immediately. One UK aftercare guide advises that effects commonly begin within 3–5 days, with the fuller effect developing at around 10–14 days.

Your review

If a review has been arranged, this is commonly undertaken at around two weeks, when the treatment result can be appropriately assessed.

If you experience anything unexpected or have concerns following treatment, please contact the clinic for advice.
